Partnered with a medical center in central Virginia that has an opening for a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage.

Opening Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts
• Patient Volume: 20 per day
• Facility: 28-bed medical-surgical ICU, 14-bed CVICU
• Required Procedures: Central and arterial lines, intubations, and vent management
• Support Staff: MDs, APPs, and residents
• EMR: Meditech
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

During your time off, ride a vintage scenic train through a deep river gorge, catch a minor‑league baseball game in a hilltop stadium, and attend a lively weekend farmers' market in a riverside park.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist Internal Medicine Missouri state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program
• One year of work experience as Gastroenterologist
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
